Mako is the result of the backcross I had planned to do after the outcross to a lighter framed US dog. He is the result of line breeding on Ch WP Bush Tribute RN HSAs.
Very happy with this young boy, in both personality and type. He is social, incredibly intelligent and very talented.
Mako is a genuine working dog, being part of a team that manages a commercial herd of Angus and Angus/Charolais cattle. He learnt on the job quickly, with his strong genetic predisposition to a certain working style on full display. Only heeling stationary or recalcitrant cattle, his main drive is to mob up cattle and keep them contained. He is handy in the paddock and yards, offering both pressure and relief to cattle, which in turn creates calm, educated cattle.
He is not wired to just chase and bite cattle but to control and see the bigger picture. |
